Desktop companion

Install AppMuse Companion

The desktop app does two things: pair a device to stream the live preview to the web and mobile apps, and now build your app and backend directly in its own workspace, with the preview running on your local emulator. Pick the build for your operating system below.

How it works

  1. 1

    Install + sign in

Run the installer (Windows .exe, macOS .dmg, or Linux AppImage / .deb), then sign in with the same AppMuse account you use on mobile or web.

  2. 2

    Connect your project

The companion auto-discovers your active project and exposes a local Android emulator that AppMuse streams to.

  3. 3

    Open the Preview tab

The live emulator stream appears in the AppMuse mobile app and the web workspace as soon as the companion is connected.

New: the desktop app is also a full workspace. Open a project and switch to Workspace to chat-build your app and backend with the preview running on your local emulator. It opens in Companion view by default, so pairing and preview work exactly as before.

iOS preview requires a Mac with Xcode — see the support docs for the workaround.
